Village Life is a Facebook game that revolves around building a community. Like many Facebook games, it has a prominent social aspect to it, but it’s still very different. Village Life focuses primarily on the people you’ll be interacting with, and that alone sets it apart from other social games.

You build a village in the literal sense. You start off with a couple who are lost in the woods, and the wife is pregnant and ready to give birth at any moment. You build them a shelter and the wife gives birth. That is where the game begins, and where your first villagers appear from. After that, a few more villagers will appear, too.

One of the fun parts of Village Life goes beyond the initial gameplay. You can visit your Facebook friends’ villages and having them get married and have children. This will help you find fun new ways to grow your village. Villagers can also perform a number of different tasks in addition to simply moving in and getting married.

You can get them to fetch food, water, and other resources, and you can get them to build housing as well. All adult villagers have an energy bar that will let you know how much they are capable of before they need a rest.

The villagers will also age, meaning that any children born in your village will eventually grow and work in any of the ways that adult villagers can, then eventually raise their own children.

Village Life is best enjoyed when you have a few friends to play along, too, and you can sort of cross-pollinate your villages.

While you can certainly play on your own and have a lot of fun with that, you will get the best experience by playing alongside friends. You should definitely try out Village Life if you like social games and like to be able to control what happens in the game.

As well, the ability of villagers to carry out tasks keeps the gameplay fresh and unique. The more villagers you can get in  your village, the more in-game work will get done, and the better your village will be.
