Many of you have probably searched all over the internet trying to figure out how you get married on this ever so popular game.  Well, we’ve got the answers you are looking for!

You created your avatar, spent time making new many friends and having conversations with others.  Now you want to celebrate these relationships and get married!  The IMVU Marriage Package is the way for avatars to commit with each other in marriage.

How It Works

One avatar can propose to another and start planning the most amazing wedding.  Once you have tied the knot, your profiles will be linked together with your married status displayed on both of your profile cards.  You can send personalized announcements regarding your union to your family and friends on IMVU.

You will shortly have access to a new room: “Our Room” which will be added to your already existing “My Room”.  As a couple, you can decorate this new room, invite your friends to your new home and decide if you want this new room to be your public room or keep it private.

How Do I Get The Marriage Package?

First off, you must be 18 years or older and can purchase the package in the Credit Store.  You might want to take advantage of the 50% discount that is going on right now and keep it until you find your future partner.

What Is Included In This Package?

As the buyer, you may propose to your partner and if your partner accepts, then it’s official!  You will both receive a name change token along with a name registration.  You will be able to send special wedding announcements to everyone of your friends all at once.

You will also receive a badge to display on your personal profile.  It will say: “Married to Avatar Name” and will link to each others avatar.  Your avatar name will be your partner’s name.  The most exciting thing about this package is the new feature “Our Room”.  You can decorate the room together with items each of you have collected and make it a very special room indeed!

Can Anyone Buy The Package?

If you are not 18 years old, you can’t.

If the person you propose to is not interested or says No, just keep your package stowed away until you find another partner.

Before you can get married you need to find a boy/girlfriend first!  First off, make yourself look really sexy and hot!  Go to the “Find People” area, put in your gender, single, are here to date and the age range you want to stay in.

Once you find someone you like, add them to your list of friends.  Invite them to chat with you and start talking about your interests and what you have in common.  At some point, simply ask if they would like to be your boyfriend or girlfriend or would you like to go on a date!

About The Our Room Features

Once you are married, your Our Room will come fully furnished to use.  You can change the room anyway you like with items both of you have collected.  Just choose the Scene or Furniture tools on the bottom tool bar to switch things around.  Again, the Our Room is an additional room only available to couples who purchase the Marriage Package.

As a Couple, Do You Share Your Inventories?

All inventories will remain separate and stay only in your individual account.  You can place items such as furniture from each others collections, but individual items belong to which ever one owned the item to begin with.

About The Name Change Token

This become available to both of you upon getting married.  You do not have to change your name(s) if you choose not to.  This token is yours to keep if you get a divorce.

How Do your Get Pregnant On IMVU?

First and foremost, you should share this information with your partner first!  It’s really pretty simple once you get on the right track, below will give you all the information you need to have a baby:

1. Once signed in, click on the shop button to view all the different items you can purchase more credits. You will see a “search box” on the right hand side of the page.

2. Type in the word “Pregnant” and press enter. You will then see a list of items within the pregnant category. You can choose from a variety of big baby bellies to your liking.  If you do not have enough credits, you might not be able to choose just what you want. Need more credits? Now it’s time to pick out clothes to wear.  Obviously, your other clothes are going to become too small or tight.

What If I Want A Divorce?

As a couple, you must be married for an entire day before being allowed to get a divorce.  It’s totally free to couples and you can find the link for getting a divorce on the “Marriage Page”.  It’s down on the bottom of the page saying something like “It’s not working?”  Either one of you can process the divorce without the other party’s acknowledgment.

Understand, once you are divorced the “Our Room” feature will not be accessible to either of you.  If the room was made public, the party who made it public will have the room in their name.  Any items placed in the room by the other partner will have the items removed and returned to them.
